Step 1
 
  • Right click on the map canvas. The drop down menu will be displayed.
  • Click Add link.

  • The Add link pop-up will be displayed.

  • Select the node from the drop-down list. This is a list with all the available nodes.
  • Select a second node to connect the link to. Again, the available nodes will be visible in the drop-down list.
  • Start typing to select a mnemonic and a drop-down list will appear. Select the relevant mnemonic.
  • You can set a link title if you would like to. Type this into the field provided. This should be a meaningful name that will display on the map.

  • You can select the type of link that you would like i.e. with an arrow head or without.
  • You can select the width of the link line.

  • Specify the source from where to get the alarms from using the drop-down list.
  • Tick the glyph option to apply it. Select the location from the drop-down list.
  • Select a colour according to the data source. You can select either a default palette or a created palette.

  • Specify the category and graph type by selecting the values from the two drop-down lists respectively. Also select the metric used in the next drop-down list. These metrics are based on graph type and category.
  • Tick the display value to show graph values on the link.
  • Select a colour according to the data source. You can select either a default palette or a created palette.
    3 If the tick box for the link colour is ticked at status source, the tick box at data source will be disabled.


  • If you plan on entering many links with similar characteristics, you can save the default settings to a template by clicking Make default on the bottom left. Once a default is set, it remains in force until a new default is set for the current session.
    3 Exiting the map will clear this saved template.


  • Click Save.
